Cool Vibes with William Rast

This post is in partnership with Macy's. As always, all opinions are my own and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with brands I love.

Sometimes when you're trying to nail that cool-girl-vibe, less is more. One brand that just totally gets it is William Rast. Today, I'm excited to share a look from their line at Macy's. They have so many amazing pieces like army jackets, embroidered jeans, graphic tees, and patched leather jackets. For this look, I paired a graphic tee with this A D O R A B L E army green peplum jacket. I love that this jacket has a zipper that wraps all the way around and a little peplum flounce at the bottom. It's such a cute twist on a classic, every day piece. I think my favorite thing about this outfit would have to be the white denim jeans. White jeans are not the most easy thing to find, in my opinion.  We all know that black is a super flattering and slimming color and the opposite of black is white... so... you see what I'm saying! White jeans sometimes show it all! It's hard to find a pair that are flattering, slimming, and NOT see through!  These jeans are the answer to my white-denim-jean-prayers!! I also love the unhemmed bottom. A little bit of fray keeps these white jeans from looking too "put together". I love them so much and I've been wearing them on repeat!

I hope you guys enjoyed this look as much as I did!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Breezy Patio with Pier 1

If you’re hooked on Fixer Upper like I am, then you know that everything Joanna Gaines touches turns to gold. Naturally, when I found out about her line of pillows and rugs at Pier 1 Imports, I was dying to get my hands on them. They have an effortlessly chic, and ultra cozy feel that I knew would be the perfect addition to my home.  One thing I love about our new apartment is the balcony (it’s the little things in life yall!). It’s not a huge space, but I knew I wanted to make the most of it and deck it out with super cozy furniture and accessories.  I added these amazing Papasan Chairs from Pier One because they are huge and super comfortable! They are perfect for lounging and reading a magazine or unwinding with some wine after a long day.  Because I opted for the Ivory cushions, I had a lot of flexibility with accessories accessories. I picked this clay chenille throw blanket to add a pop of color and paired it with this oversized and texturized pillow from the Magnolia collection.  On my other Papasan chair, I opted for two of these super fun reddish-pink pillows from the Magnolia collection because I loved the mix of colors and textures.  To tie the whole look together, I picked this Terracotta Rug which makes everything feel 100x cozier and looks great with the other pillows from the collection.  I’m so happy with how everything turned out. Definitely check out the Magnolia Collection over at Pier 1 Imports, it does not disappoint! Also, orders online over $49 ship free!  I’m so excited to spend many more California evenings out here enjoying some wine and this gorgeous décor.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The crossbody I can't get enough of....

You may remember the post I did a while back about this COCOVANN handbag that I instantly fell in love with. If you follow me on Instagram you also may have noticed that I wore said handbag all. the. time.  (here, here, here, here, and here… just to name a few examples). Well, when you find a good handbag brand, it doesn’t hurt to stick with it because you just might find another one (or five) that you love.  I’m super excited about COCOVANN’s new SS17 collection and even more excited about this little gem that I’ve been keeping close to my side.

Thanks to my friends at COCOVANN, I have a killer discount code to share with you all! Use code LEMONBLONDE15 for 15% off your order through June 9th! Have a lovely day!

Transitioning Outfits From Day To Night With The Help Of Gold Jewelry

Photos by the lovely Jade Sharp

This post was sponsored by JTV.com. I was paid for this post and received JTV.com jewelry pieces as compensation.

If there’s one thing I can do very well, it’s getting ready in a hurry. As a busy girl on the go, I’m constantly looking for ways to simplify that process. I usually find myself running from one activity to the next and I try to find easy ways to transition my outfit. With the help of these lovely gold pieces from JTV.com, I can easily transition my outfit from day to night. I love the simple elegance that a touch of gold adds to any casual outfit. This tassel necklace from JTV.com is perfect for so many different necklines. Here, I paired it with an off-the-shoulder top, but I think it would also look great with a v-neck or a button down blouse. These earrings are great for every day wear and won’t compete with the rest of your outfit or jewelry. They’re very dainty and simple but the opal reflects various flecks of color and creates a gorgeous shimmer. And lastly, I opted for a bolder bracelet. I love the statement this bracelet makes with the thicker rope link. These three pieces are the perfect trifecta to transition any simple outfit from day to night. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you love these pieces as much as I do.

French Connection

Photos by the lovely Jade Sharp

Happy Monday babes! If you followed along on the gram this weekend, you got to keep up with all of the moving shenanigans. We moved out to LA five weeks ago and are finally settled in our apartment. There’s still a ton of decorating to do but I’m so happy to be all moved in. I am in love with our new apartment. It has super tall ceilings and lots of light (which makes my blogger heart very happy)! Okay enough about the apartment.  Today I’m super excited to share a brand that I’ve been in love with lately; French Connection. They have so many unique pieces, like really unique, from whimsical to bohemian to minimalist to feminine.  Just check it out and you’ll see what I mean.  They also have a ton of dresses to choose from but I loved this style because it takes a funky twist on a classic style (oh, and it's on sale!).  It’s a super effortless “I borrowed this oversized shirt from my boyfriend” type of look but there’s a fun mix of mismatched striped and solid panels to keep things interesting.  It would look super cute with white sneakers, but I opted for some lace-up espadrilles with this look.  Have yourself a lovely Monday and as always, you can shop the look below!
