At Home Facial Peel

Hey guys! As I mentioned last week, I have really been working on clearing up my skin lately. It hasn't been terrible, but I'm just not really happy with how it's looking. I feel like recently I've been noticing my scars from acne (dang high school years) and I've had a few blemishes that just won't go away. I've tried lots of new products to switch up my routine and I wanted to share one with you that I've really liked. I started using Exuviance Performance Peel about two weeks ago and I've already noticed a huge difference in my skin. It's a high performance peel that's safe and easy to use at home, which I love. It has a 25% blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Polyhydroxy Acids (PHA). The peel not only works at the skin's surface to exfoliate dead, dull surface layers, but it also enhances cell renewal to reveal fresher, healthier-looking skin- which is exactly what I've been looking for. I feel like everything I've been using is just treating my blemishes at the surface level instead of actually healing my skin. I've already noticed my pores shrinking and my face feels so much smoother.

I did some research on the product before I started using it and I found that the peel is proven to:

  • Refine pore size and smooth texture
  • Visibly diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improve clarity and brightness
  • Brighten and even skin tone
  • Provide an all-over healthy glow, suppleness and smoothness to skin

With my skincare routine, I like to keep it simple. I don't want to have a long drawn out process that I have to do every morning/ night. The nice thing about this peel is that I only do it twice a week and I've already seen the benefits.

Here's how I've been using it:
before I start I cleanse my face with a gentle cleanser
Step 1. Apply a Step 1 Activator Pad over the entire face, avoiding eye area, lips and any area of sensitivity. You want to be aware of any stinging, burning, itching, tightness, tingling, etc. The kit comes with a sensitivity test that you can try out on a small patch of skin to make sure you don't react to it. I recommend testing it out first before you use it.

Step 2. Apply a Step 2 Neutralizer Pad to your face after 10 minutes (I recommend a little less time on the first try, maybe 5-7 minutes just to be safe). Again, avoiding eyes and lips, and then rinse the face thoroughly with water.

I've gotten facials before so my skin is used to Hydroxy Acid peels. If you've never had a peel before you might experience a slight tingling sensation, which is expected. If this sensation is too much, try using the neutralizing the peel sooner than the total 10 minute time.

I love that I don't have to drive 30 minutes to my dermatologist anymore when I need a facial. The fact that I can get the same facial at home at a way lower price is amazing. It's only $77 for a 6 week supply. I'll link the products below. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks so much for stopping by.
