Since moving to this city in May, it has been so cool to see it change through the seasons. Summer, fall, and now winter. I love all the Christmas lights and decorations downtown. This time of year, the monument is lit so it looks like a giant Christmas tree and it's so gorgeous at night. The other night we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Bakersfield, and then walked to the monument and sipped on hot chocolate. It was so beautiful (and not too cold-- loving this weather!!) to just walk around with friends and appreciate this city that I call home. In the midst of all the holiday hustle and bustle, it's good to take a step back and just take it all in.
I've been having so much fun getting excited for the holidays! Last weekend Cort and I got all of our Christmas shopping finished AND I even was able to convince Cort to watch not one, but TWO Christmas movies with me! I know he secretly liked those sappy Netflix movies. I know I did :)
This week I'm so excited for a couple Christmas parties I'm going to. I'm making red velvet cake balls for the first time. Wish me luck! With all the running around these past few weeks, I've been living in this sweater from Impressions Boutique. I'm all about easy, comfortable looks that I can throw on and still look like I put a little effort in. This oversized sweater is perfect with leggings, or jeans, and a giant scarf. I love that it's long in the back and has cute knit detailing. Shop my look below!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
