The halls have been decked and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Post house!!! I’m convinced that there’s nothing better than a festive house around Christmastime and I’m beyond excited to share our Christmas decor with you guys today. This is our first holiday season in our new house so naturally, I had to go ALL out! Three trips to At Home, and two Christmas trees later, and our place is feeling magical and cozy for the holidays!
Most of you guys already know that I love At Home and it's where I find majority of our home decor. If you've never been to At Home, you're missin' out! Picture a massive warehouse filled with aisles upon aisles of furniture, home decor, and literally anything you need for your house, at unbeatable prices. All of the pieces you see in this post are from At Home (I go to the one in Noblesville, IN) and you can click here to find the store closest to you. They have the BEST home decor at the most affordable prices. I love them all year round, but I love them a little extra around the holidays. Every year At Home creates a handful of “Christmas Collections” with tons of pieces categorized by styles. Some of the collections this year are Arctic Ice, Holiday Hoedown, Lavish & Luxe, Peppermint Jazz, etc. This makes shopping soooo much easier because you can shop for ornaments, wreaths, pillows, tree skirts, and tons of other decor from the same category which means all of the pieces will look cohesive together. Most of my picks were from Arctic Ice and Lavish & Luxe!
Tree #2! (because one just wasn’t enough)
Cozy Winter Whites
I know I’m getting a tad ahead of myself here- but hear me out. After the holidays, I always feel like my house looks so drab and I usually feel a little sad when I look at the empty corner where the Christmas tree once was. I want to give you some inspo for how to make your home feel cozy and warm (even after Christmas) by decorating with winter whites and lots of textures.
I found this amazing decorative blanket ladder from At Home and I knew it would be the perfect accent piece to make this space feel cozy in January. I love that it allows you to display your blankets instead of having them tucked away in a basket…. But don’t get me wrong, I love blanket baskets too- so I added a basket with blankets spilling over to add even more warmth. I also picked up a couple different ottomans to add some texture and coziness and I found a huge faux fur rug. Lastly, I swapped out my wreath for this cool macrame wall hanging to make sure my wall didn’t feel empty. At Home has a huge selection of wall art including other really cool macrame pieces like the one I found. I hope that this gives you some ideas for how to fill your space once your Christmas decor comes down! Thank so much for reading and happy decorating! xo
