Designer Shoes Review

A few notes before I dive in..

After sharing my designer bag review, I received so many requests to share a designer shoe review! I know that this topic won’t be for everyone, and I always debate sharing stuff like this... but so many of you have told me that it’s so helpful to hear honest opinions when making such a big purchase and I’ve also heard from so many of you that you love seeing one item styled multiple ways so you can really get an idea for how you’d wear the piece. I decided a blog would be a better format for this topic and I hope that it’s super helpful for anyone who’s looking into the category!! PS- I’m also sharing looks for less! Let’s dive in!

DIOR DIORACT SANDAL:

This is one of the best designer purchases I’ve ever made! These shoes are insanely comfortable and still look so chic. I wore them all around Italy last summer and they were so comfortable to walk in because of the back strap and chunky sole. I’m going on my third summer with these and they’ve held up amazingly! I have them in white lambskin and the color is more of an ivory- not too white. They go with everything and even though they’re a “dad sandal”, they look elevated because of the lambskin and Dior gold logo.

These shoes are so fun and cute! I love wearing them with a summer dress, shorts, or jeans! These shoes are fine to walk in for short distances but they’re not super comfy. I had to break mine in a little bit to loosen them up. This is not the type of shoe I’d walk long distances, but they’re great for a summer dinner, etc!

This has been another amazing purchase! They’re surprisingly comfortable (not super supportive since they’re thin & backless) but easy to walk in without sliding off. I’ve done quite a bit of walking in these and they’ve been great! I wore them in Italy last summer and usually pack them when we go to Miami. I feel like they elevate a simple outfit without feeling too dressy. Mine are navy, but I’ve worn them with black quite a few times as you’ll see. They go with everything!

I had these on my wishlist for over a year and I’m SO glad I finally pulled the trigger-they’ve been an amazing purchase! I’ve only had them for a few months but I’ve worn them so much already- I can’t stop reaching for them. The toe shape is so unique- they’re pointy but squared off and they’re just such a flattering shape. I love styling these with jeans and a simple top, and the shoe really elevates the whole look! I’ve also worn them with dresses, skirts, you name it. They’re so good! I was torn between the heeled version and the flat- I’m really happy with the flat. I’m sure I’d wear the heel a lot as well, but I just find myself reaching for these all the time! I wouldn’t say these are the most comfortable shoe ever, but they’re not uncomfortable. They’re flat and kind of stiff which makes them not super comfortable, but they’re fine! They’re totally fine for shorter walking distances, which is really what I wear them for since I mainly wear them out to eat or something like that! I would not explore a city in these, but I don’t think I’d really explore a city in any pointy toe flat!

Looks for Less:

These are a fun, casual option that I purchased about 4 summers ago and I still wear them! I usually wear these in more of an athletic/athleisure way or poolside. I don’t ever really dress these up which kind of limited the use cases for these, but I still think they’re cute and easy to throw on! Unfortunately, Mylo chewed these up a bit (this is why we can’t have nice things!!), but it’s not too noticeable and I still reach for them!

I purchased these around the holidays as I was looking for a nice black slingback with a LOW heel and these were perfect! I love the little front strap- I feel like it’s very flattering to the foot and it’s a pretty detail. I haven’t worn these as much now that it’s getting warmer out, but I definitely wore them a lot around the holidays and early winter. I feel like this is a classic, timeless style that I’ll have for years to come!!
