Everything You Need to Host a Galentine's Day Party

Last weekend I hosted a Galentine’s Day brunch which was so much fun! I’ll take any excuse to have an all pink party with my best girlfriends! Plus, who doesn’t love a mimosa bar, donuts, and every pink and red candy imaginable?! Anyway, I got a ton of questions from you guys about the decor I used, so I’m sharing everything I used to host this boozy brunch…

For decor, I ordered a bunch of pink candles (all different shades) and taper holders and used them throughout my home to accent. I also wanted to do a candy bar, so I got some apothecary jars and filled them with pink and red candies which doubled as decor. Then, I picked up some flowers and made different arrangements for the tables, island and bar cart.

I rented tables and chairs so there would be plenty of room for everyone to sit. I thought it would be fun to have sugar cookies with everyone’s name on them, so I special ordered some and used them as place cards - plus, each guest got to take it home with them.

I kept things pretty simple as far as food went. I mainly wanted finger foods and things that were easy to prepare in advance. So, I did a charcuterie board with some meats, cheeses, fruit and crackers. I also picked up some fresh croissants and donuts the say of.

I really wanted to do a fun cocktail, so I prepared some drinks in advance - I highly recommend doing this when hosting so you aren’t spending your entire time behind the bar! I used these acrylic chalkboards to label the different drinks on my bar cart - they worked great and are reusable so I can use them for my next party. I also had a mimosa bar where people could help themselves to different juices and fruit. This made everything super simple and easy so I could just enjoy my time with my girlfriends.
