Four Seasons Tamarindo Mexico FAQ

Sharing all the details of one of our most relaxing places to go to, Four Seasons Tamarindo! We first went right when they opened in 2023, and loved it so much we came back this year. Breaking it down and answering all of your frequently asked questions about the resort here.

What's the name of the resort you stayed at? We stayed at the Four Seasons Tamarindo in Tamarindo, Mexico.

Is this an all inclusive? No, which I prefer. The food was VERY reasonably priced we were shocked for such a nice resort!!

Is it adults only? No, but there is an adults only pool which is a must for us at any resort!

It doesn't look like there is a lot to do off property. Have you guys ventured off anywhere? No, it's not really the type of place where you leave and go explore. It's on 900 acres of forest so you really stay on the resort and enjoy the relaxation.

What airport do you fly into? Where was you layover? We flew into Manzanillo-Costalegre International Airport (ZLO). We flew through Dallas and have also flown through Phoenix in the past.

Did you feel safe traveling to and from the airport? Yes we felt very safe. We booked a car through the resort to and from the airport. You can find more information from the Four Seasons’ site here.

How's the drive from Puerto Vallarta airport? We flew into Manzanillo and it was about a 45 minute drive from the airport.

What room did you stay in? We stayed in the Cliffside Panoramic One Bedroom Suite. It’s absolutely AMAZING!

Is there swimmable beach? Can you swim in the ocean/beach? Yes, it's swimmable! And they have 3 or 4 beaches on property.

What is the food like at the resort? Is it food allergy friendly (gluten, dairy, etc)? Do they had a wide selection of healthy food options to choose from? Food was reallyy good! And they have healthy options. Allergy markings on the menu. Lots of the food at the resort is actually grown on property or local.

Have you had any bad experiences with the water in Mexico, or have you taken any precautions for it? This totally depends on where you're going! We were fine and had no issues, but all of the water at the resort is purified. We drank a lot of bottled water. But we still had ice and stuff that was completely safe! But I can't speak for any other place!

Did you go just as a couple for a getaway or with a company for work? Thoughts so far? The first time we went it was just a getaway, not with any company, we paid for it 100%. It was just Cort and I and it amazing! The most recent time we took Cort’s parents with us, again, not with any company, not sponsored!

Did I go to this place for free? Is this trip discount because of my job or if I'm working with them? Sadly no. I never get vacations for free. They have no idea who I am LOL. Cort found it a while back because we love Four Seasons properties and we've been waiting for it to open. The reason I tag places when we travel is because I get tonsssss of Q’s asking where I am (even if it's literally tagged). So I just try to tag for people who are interested. Not because they give me a discount or anything like that!

Do I have a discount code I can share with y'all? I wish I had a discount to share because I've already had like 4 of you tell me you booked this after seeing me share!! You're going to love it! Sadly, I don’t have any discounts!

Why does the restaurant seem so empty? A few reasons… We are like an old couple and like to eat dinner early on vacation, so there were only a few other couples at dinner time. When I take pictures/videos, I don't like to take pictures of other people so I avoided them. By the time we would leave dinner, more people were there… continued below…

Why does the resort seem like no one is there? This resort is still new! We first went when it was BRAND NEW -it had opened only one month before we first went in February 2023. We've been eyeing it for a while and have been so excited to check it out. It's incredible and it feels like a hidden gem right now, but it's definitely going to blow up. This second time that we went, there were definitely more people than the first time, but still not crowded at all!
