Before I start this post I have to give a massive shout out to Krauter Photography for beautifully capturing our stay here at Ironworks. Her photography style is stunning and I highly recommend her for weddings, engagements (she travels), and other local, creative needs! Not to mention, she's extremely fun and easy to work with!! Check out more of her work here....okay, rant over :)
Cort and I had the amazing opportunity to stay at Indy's new Ironworks hotel this past weekend and we were absolutely blown away. Ironworks is a luxurious, industrial-styled boutique hotel unlike anything I've ever seen. Every decorative detail of this hotel aligned with the 19th-century aesthetic from the rustic light fixtures, to the wood paneled walls, to the luxurious leather couches.... perfect for photos, might I add ;) As a blogger, I'm a sucker for a good aesthetic. They even have their own custom scent pumping through the building that I would gladly bottle up and make into a perfume. The hotel is warm and inviting, and from the minute we walked in, it felt as though we had escaped reality for the weekend.
The industrial charm did not stop at the lobby... The 19th-century design aesthetic seamlessly flowed throughout our room and bathroom. Although the room was adorned with industrial hardware and it was still very cozy and welcoming. The bathroom had a large spa-like shower and luxurious marble countertops that truly made my jaw drop when I laid eyes on it. I'm still trying to figure out how I can replicate that whole bathroom setup in our new house. Be sure to check out the Ironworks Instagram highlights for the Instastories takeover I did during our stay... then you will truly understand why I am obsessed with this shower!
Our room had a massive bed, massive windows, and a massive TV! Again, check out their Instagram for a full tour so you can see what I mean! After dinner, Cort and I lounged in bed, ate cheesecake, cracked open the Ironworks signature wine that was in our room, and watched TV. It was so relaxing and I wish I could end every night like that!
The hotel has a handful of restaurant options including Provisions, Rize, and Blue Sushi Sake Grill. The next morning, we ate at Rize for breakfast and loved the fresh, organic plates. Also, I'm convinced that food naturally tastes better when you eat it in an absolutely gorgeous restaurant that has fun green chairs, funky light fixtures, and cool subway tile... anyone else agree? I guess as a blogger I just really respect a restaurant that caters to a good photoshoot ;) But really, the staff was amazing, the food was tasty, there was an energy buzzing through the restaurant, and it was packed! If you're local, definitely check out Rize for brunch!
If you're looking to stay somewhere unique, far from a 400-room-big-box hotel, I highly recommend Ironworks Hotel. It truly was a one-of-a-kind experience I'm already looking forward to our next staycation!

A huge thank you to Ironworks for hosting us! We had an amazing stay! Also, please let me know if you can make your signature scent into a perfume or candle for me. Thanks!
