Look for Less Home Edition

Why is furniture SO expensive!?! Luckily, we were able to use all the furniture from our old house in the new one, but there were still spaces we needed to fill. Not to mention, we had to buy or replace all the light fixtures which are equally as expensive. If you’re wondering which ones we chose, I broke everything out room by room including our furniture in this post. I had a lot of requests to share some more budget friendly options, so I searched the web high and low for more affordable pieces that have the same look and feel - some of the items are almost identical for the fraction of the cost! So, if you’re furnishing a new home but don’t want to break the bank, these pieces have the same luxe look as a more expensive piece. Let me know what you think of the selections below!

Whether you want to refresh your current space or need to buy all new furniture, you could mix and match high end pieces with more affordable ones so you stay on budget. There might be some things you really want to splurge on (perhaps like a statement piece), and other areas where you can save. For example, this cocktail table is a fraction of the prices as this one but it gives you the same look and feel. Or, this light fixture is just shy of $600 but this one is very similar for $400 - so if something doesn’t fit your budget, don’t be afraid to look at places like Amazon, Wayfair, Target or Overstock - they have some really great affordable options!
