Happy hump day! I hope everyone is having a great week so far and had an awesome weekend! It was Cort's birthday on Saturday so we celebrated together on Friday night and Saturday night with his family. Friday night was so fun... we went SWING DANCING!! A couple weeks ago Cort and I were watching The Bachelorette and Jojo and James went on the swing dancing date. We were both like, that would be SO FUN. We've talked about doing a dance lesson before, but after seeing that episode I thought it would be fun to surprise him on his birthday with a swing dance lesson or something. Ironically there happened to be a swing dancing lesson in Fountain Square (right by where I live) on Friday night for only $24! The first 45 minutes was a lesson, the next couple hours they had a live band just play music and everyone danced. It was so fun! Definitely different than my usual Friday nights but that's why I loved it.
Who's excited for 4th of July weekend?! **everyone raises both hands** ME TOO!
So I'm not into buying like obnoxious stars and stripes clothes for 4th of July, but I am definitely a very festive person (when it comes to any holiday). This dress from ROOLEE is perfect, because it's subtle but still goes with the holiday weekend (OH and it has pockets!). And it's nice because I know I can wear it really anytime in the summer, not just on 4th of July. I'm going to a baseball game on the 4th, so let's be real, I'll probably end up wearing cut off shorts and a white shirt butttt it's still nice to have something subtly patriotic to wear in the days leading up to the holiday. I also have been loving longer dresses lately. I just feel like they're super flattering and effortless. I've linked the outfit details below! Have a great day everyone!
