My Favorite Active Shorts
In the spring and summer I live in active shorts! I wear them to work out in, on hikes and walks, to grab coffee and to run errands. From looser pairs to biker shorts, I’ve tried practically every pair out there. That being said, I certainly have my faves! So, if you’re curious which ones are my ride or dies, then keep reading…
ABERCROMBIE
YPB Lined Running Shorts -size xs - I love these because they have a built-in biker short lining so you feel like you have more coverage! Although I wear size xs, I could also do size small.
YPB 7" Bike Shorts - size small - I get asked all the time how these compare to lululemon, so I’d say these are most similar to the Wunder Train fabric. I love the 7" length - they have more coverage but aren’t too long either!
FREE PEOPLE
The Way Home Shorts - size small - These are super high rise and have a really thick waistband which I love. There are tons of fun colors and they're a kind of swishy fabric. They’re also only $30!
LULULEMON
Track That Mid-Rise Lined Short 5" - size 4 - I love that these are higher waisted and slightly longer than a typical 4" inseam! They’re also super comfy!
Speed Up High-Rise Lined Short 4" - size 4 - I have the mid-rise and high-rise and they're super similar so I wanted to share both! I love that these have a thicker ‘legging like’ waistband. They come in shorter lengths, but I prefer the 4" in these!
Speed Up Mid-Rise Lined Short 4" - size 4 - These are similar to the high-rise but have a slightly lower rise. These still hit me at my belly button!
Align High-Rise Shorts - size 4 - I have these in the 4", 6" and 8" lengths and are the Align leggings in shorts form! So, they’re super comfy, have stretchy fabric and are perfect for walking, lounging, yoga, etc.
Wunder Train High-Rise Shorts - size 4 - I have these in the 6" length but they have come in other lengths as well. They have a more supportive fabric than the Aligns! You can do all of your normal high impact workouts in these but still look cute if you want to wear them in a casual way.

Amazon Running Shorts - size small - For around $20, the price point of these shorts can’t be beat! I love that they have built-in spandex so you have some extra coverage! Plus, they're high waisted too!
