My Favorite Workout Tops

You guys know my obsession with workout clothes is real, and I’ve tried my fair share of different styles, brands, etc. There are so many different options out there and if you name it, there’s a good chance I’ve tried it! So, today I’m breaking down all my favorite workout tops. Pssst… some of them are even from Amazon!

Athleta

Athleta is one of my go-to’s for workout tops. I really love their Conscious Crop. First you select your cup size, either A-C or D-DD, then you pick your size, XXS-3XL. Yay for inclusive sizing!! I wear a size small D-DD. I also have the small A-C and it fits, but I feel like it shows some side boob and I like that the D-DD has more coverage. I like extra coverage for higher impact workouts! I also love their Warrior Longline Bra. It's called a “bra” but I actually find that it fits more like a cropped top. I wear a size small D-DD in these, but they also come in A-C. I love the crisscross back which is super flattering.

I love Athleta tops because they’re really supportive, come with removable cups, and I don't need to wear a bra underneath…amen! I have them in a ton of colors and they've been one of my favorite styles for over a year. They're a little pricier, but sometimes they mark down their seasonal colors. If you’re like me and like to invest in good quality pieces, then they're totally worth the price!

Amazon

What I love about Amazon tops is that they’re super affordable! They tend to run a little small so I size up one size in them (I wear a medium). I have to admit, they're a little less supportive but I still don't wear a bra underneath (you definitely can, but I don’t!). Because they're lower cut, I might not recommend them for someone who is very busty - unless you're okay with less support. They come with removable pads, but I don’t love the pads they come with (they're a little thicker) so I usually remove them and use pads from Athleta or lululemon (just personal preference). I still love that they're affordable and flattering, plus you can get a few for the same price as one lululemon or Athleta top. This one has adjustable straps and dips a little lower in the front whereas this one doesn't have adjustable straps and has more of a straight across cut in the front.

Lululemon

Lululemon is constantly releasing new styles and discontinuing old ones, so it's a little harder for me to share my favorite tops from them. I'm always checking for new styles online and if I see a new top, I usually snatch it up because I know it'll sell out. That being said, the Align Tank is usually in stock. I size up to an 8 in them. I tried a size 6 but found that after a couple washes, it fit a little snug on me. I have a wider ribcage and my shoulders are a little broader, but if you have a narrower frame, you probably don't need to size up. The Power Y Tank is one of my favorite lululemon tanks but I don't like how long it is. However, lululemon offers free alterations (huge perk) so I usually take it into the store to get it cropped right to my legging waist band! I wear my usual size 6 in these.

As you can tell, I’m pretty picky when it comes to my workout tops. They have to be supportive, comfortable, and cute of course! These ones check all the boxes for me which is why I recommend them… and I know you’ll love them too!
